At Mahtomedi Public Schools, we are committed to supporting students in their academic success and postsecondary planning by ensuring they have consistent access to the technology they need beyond the school year. Many students rely on their school-issued Chromebook throughout the summer to stay engaged in learning and prepare for future opportunities.
Beginning this year, students currently in grades 8–11 will keep their school-issued Chromebooks over the summer rather than returning them at the end of the school year.
This change is intended to support students who are participating in:
Summer assignments connected to upcoming advanced coursework
Credit recovery or completion of coursework
College applications and scholarship applications
Resume writing and internship preparation
Career exploration and enrichment activities
Our goal is to ensure all students have reliable access to the technology they need for summer academic work and postsecondary planning.
Please see additional information and notes on internet access, safety, and care of devices below.
If you would like to opt out of the program, please submit this form to opt out; your child’s device will be stored at school until August.
Thank you for your partnership and support,
Yvonne Anderson, Director of Technology, Mahtomedi Public Schools
