What is Restorative Practice?Restorative practice is a framework that depends on strong relationships to help build community, repair harm, and learn. Mahtomedi High School has implimented restorative practices in an effort to supress and in rare cases supplement the traditional discipline model in schools (i.e. suspensions/detentions etc.) In a new way of doing things restorative practices offers the opportunity to talk about these wrong doings in an effort to repair harms and at the same time provide education to students around the topic of the harm they have done, and the importance of strong healthy relationships.
