During your college search, look up what your AP scores will earn you at each institution. It is important to understand that there is no universal policy for what your AP credits stand for at different post-secondary institutions. Even though CollegeBoard, the parent company of AP, articulates your ability level in a 1-5 score, colleges can decide what they will take for the scores.
So, use the site to:
1) Search by college name (search any college you're interested in!)
2) Find out what score on any given exam this institution will accept
3) Find out what classes (if any) your score will replace
4) Find out how many credits your score permits
